Management Control Equipment MCE / MCE-light

The MCE is the central front-end to connect the siren communication network with the operating and monitoring points such as PCs or control panels.

In large siren warning systems with distributed centres, the MCE also assumes the role of a network node at the same time.

MCE Overview

The picture opposite shows the various connection options that are available to the siren warning system via the MCE. In addition to several control panels and/or several PC-operating points, external control points can also be integrated into the system.

MCE

The MCE offers all the properties necessary for secure communication for medium and large-sized siren warning systems or siren systems with networked centres. Thanks to the modular interface concept, there is a very wide range of integration options for a variety of transfer paths.

MCE

  • 19" technology
  • Incoming connections on the front side (no swing-frame required)
  • External and internal UPS can be used
  • Embedded industrial PC
  • Flexible interfaces (RS232, dedicated line, PSTN, GSM/GPRS, TCP/IP, etc)
  • Free flexible digital I/O
  • Scalable hardware structure
  • No moving parts such as fans or hard disks
  • Redundant radio with standing waves~(SWR) and field strength measuring (RSSI) with automatic switching
  • QNX® RTOS real time multitasking operating system
  • Modular software structures allow simple modification to special customer wishes

MCE-light

The MCE-light is an inexpensive alternative for small and compact siren warning systems.

MCE-light

The MCE-light has the same functions as the MCE however it has limited expandability and redundancy.

  • 19" technology
  • UPS integrated (external UPS can be used)
  • Embedded i188-processor core
  • Flexible interfaces (RS232, dedicated line, PSTN, GSM/GPRS, TCP/IP, etc)
  • Free digital I/O (TLL-based)
  • Scalable hardware structure
  • No moving parts such as fans or hard disks
  • Radio and wire connection, on request with GSM/GPRS fall-back level
  • MICOS real time multitasking operating system
